West Virginians for Life to rally in Charleston Friday

CHARLESTON — The annual West Virginians for Life Pro-Life Rally Day will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday at the Capitol in Charleston. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. on site when participants will receive a free baseball cap. The main event is a rally at noon in the lower rotunda. Speakers include Secretary of State Kris Warner, Treasurer Larry Pack, West Virginians for Life President Wanda Franz and Agriculture Commissioner Kent Leonhardt. Bishop Mark Brennan of the Roman Catholic Wheeling-Charleston Diocese will give the invocation. West Virginians for Life Legislative Director Sadie Keaton will be the emcee. West Virginians for Life is supporting the Amending the Unborn Child Protection Act, House Bill 2352, which would improve the Women’s Right to Know Act, and HB 2456, the Pregnancy Support bill that would would amend the Support for Mothers and Babies Act to provide funding to pregnancy help organizations under certain conditions.
