Parkersburg Area Community Foundation accepting grant applications

PARKERSBURG -- The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation and regional affiliates in Doddridge and Ritchie counties and the Little Kanawha area are accepting applications for their spring grant cycle.
The application form is online at www.pacfwv.com/Grants, and organizations can apply to the foundation and any of the affiliates via the same process.
The deadline for the spring cycle is midnight on March 15.
To be considered for a Community Action Grant, an applicant must be a private, nonprofit organization, tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or a public institution. Either the applicant or program to be funded must be within the foundation's geographic service area, which covers Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Jackson, Mason, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt and Wood counties in West Virginia and Washington County, Ohio. Priority counties for grant support are Wood, Wirt, Doddridge, Ritchie, Roane, Calhoun and Gilmer.
The foundation provides support for capital and equipment projects, program development, technical assistance, training, capacity-building projects and, under special circumstances, operating support. Submitted applications are considered for support from a wide variety of grant funds available to assist charitable projects throughout the region.
In addition, the foundation is accepting applications for the Fund for Ravenswood Grant Program, for projects that are in Ravenswood or directly benefit its residents.
Applicants for these grants must also be private, nonprofit organizations, tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3), or a public institution. The Fund for Ravenswood Grant Program focuses on capital and equipment projects, program development, capacity-building and operating support. Within these focus areas, the foundation also gives special consideration to projects that build a strong, resilient and inclusive community, including projects that address substance use disorders and related community impact, and the advancement of an inclusive community and/or the elimination of racism and bias.
