PARKERSBURG -- The Parkersburg Detachment of the West Virginia State Police and the Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on from 6 p.m. to midnight Nov. 21 on West Virginia Route 95 in Parkersburg in the vicinity of the Dollar General Store.
The checkpoint may be moved to an alternate location if the primary location becomes unsafe due to traffic congestion or if a hazardous or unsafe situation arises, State Police said.
The purpose of the checkpoint is to prevent and deter impaired driving. Motorists who wish to avoid the checkpoint can take an alternate route of travel, State Police said.
