Wirt volleyball golf scramble
The Wirt County High School volleyball team will hold a scramble on Saturday, July 27 at Mingo Bottom Golf Club.
Cost is $200 per foursome and there will be prizes for first and second place.
Lunch and snacks will be provided. Registration is at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Two mulligans per player and teebuster is $10.
There will be a 50-50 raffle (15 tickets for $10 or 50 tickets for $20) as well.

Murphy aces Worthington
Jody Murphy, of Parkersburg, recorded his first career hole-in-one on Tuesday, June 11 at Worthington Golf Club.
During Knights of Columbus league play, Murphy used a 7-iron to ace the 145-yard, par-3, No. 4 hole.
Witnessing the feat were Kaleb Deon and Mike Evans.
