PARKERSBURG -- WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center is providing the opportunity for families to participate in a host of activities to support the health and well being of parents, caregivers and their children, while meeting with provider and clinical teams Saturday.
Camden Clark will host its first Healthy Start Family Wellness Day on Saturday at the Southgate Medical Complex from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Local families will have the chance to meet with its OB-GYN and pediatric teams while engaging in family fun and educational activities, according to a press release from Camden Clark.
Participating families may attend free childbirth and lactation courses during the Healthy Start Family Wellness Day. Low-cost blood work vouchers for basic metabolic panels for men and women along with prenatal panels for expecting mothers will be available for purchase.
Other event offerings for children to enjoy will include a Teddy Bear Clinic, STEAM education provided by Discovery World on Market and the Parkersburg Art Center, ambulance tours, visits with therapy dogs, giveaways and more.
The first 200 families to attend will receive special giveaways during the event.
Refreshments may be purchased throughout the duration of the event from local food trucks.
