PARKERSBURG -- Admission to Discovery World on Market will be free to the first 200 children on Saturday for International Museum Day, in partnership with WVU Medicine Camden Clark.
"We are excited our local community hospital sees the value of engaging children in S.T.E.M. education and supports Discovery World on Market by sponsoring free admission for families on this day," says Wendy Shriver, executive director of the interactive children's museum in downtown Parkersburg.
"Partnerships such as this align with our mission to meet the health care needs of the communities we serve, along with our commitment to supporting educational opportunities for our local youth," said Roger Lockhart, WVU Medicine Camden Clark Director of Marketing & Public Affairs.
Discovery World on Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Families will have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments available for purchase at the Sips Coffee Truck that will be parked outside of the museum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sips will be selling signature "Fizzy Izzy" refresher drinks, in honor of Discovery World on Market's mascot.
