MARIETTA — The My Mommy Mart children’s consignment sale will be held for five days starting Friday at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

The spring and summer consignment sale will offer gently used children’s items including clothing from size newborn to 14, shoes, toys, books, baby items and sports equipment, among other children’s items and accessories.

My Mommy Mart is a bi-annual seasonal children’s consignment event attended by sellers and shoppers from around the Mid-Ohio Valley. The mart is in its 14th season. The Fall 2024 event in October will mark the 15th anniversary of My Mommy Mart.

Sneak Peek online passes to shop early sold out in less than two minutes. Opportunities remain to shop early for $5 at the door at 6 p.m. Friday.

The event is open with no admission fee from noon-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The schedule is:

* Friday: Sneak Peek Sale. Online passes are sold out; 6 p.m., $5 at the door.

* Saturday: noon-3 p.m., public sale, free admission.

* Sunday: noon-3 p.m., public sale, half price, free admission.

* Monday: noon-3 p.m., items marked “Discount: Yes” will be half-price during this time.

* Tuesday: 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Dollar Dash after the regular sale, cash only. The remainder of the items will be donated to local organizations.

My Mommy Mart accepts major debit and credit cards and cash. Card transactions will include a 2.75% transaction fee.

Other requirements and recommendations are:

* Purses and diaper bags are not allowed on the sales floor. Wallets only. Theft is on the rise. If someone comes with a purse or diaper bag, they will be asked to return it to a vehicle.

* Buyers are encouraged to bring in an empty tote, laundry basket or other device to place purchased items.

* Organizers recommend against bringing children, particularly on Sneak Peek Friday because it is so busy. If children come, parents must be responsible and make sure they do not hang on the racks or play with the toys. If a child breaks something, the parent is expected to pay for it. Items belong to the consignors.

* While many items are half price on Monday, consignors decide if they will sell at a discount. If the tag is marked “Discount: Yes” the item will be half price.

* Buyers are asked to be patient. All cashiers and helpers are giving up their personal time to help with this event.
