BrAva Mom Prom tickets go on sale starting March 3

MARIETTA -- The ninth annual BrAva Mom Prom to raise funds supporting local families and the fight against cancer will be held April 19 at the Washington County Multi-Purpose Building in Marietta.
The annual women-only prom is hosted by BrAva Fight, the Mid-Ohio Valley's childhood cancer awareness and funding organization. The charity fundraiser seeks the support of women 21 and older, moms and non moms, to raise funds for childhood cancer.
"BrAva Mom Prom is our largest fundraiser and we truly appreciate the continued support of our community to help us support families dealing with childhood cancer," Traci Nichols, BrAva president, said.
Tickets, which will go on sale at 7 p.m. March 3 on Eventbrite, are $50. A one-ticket-per-transaction limit is in place.
Attendees should be ready to enter first and last name, phone number, email and age. Admission tickets will be the only ticket type for sale on March 3. Guests may purchase raffle tickets and luminaries beginning March 10.
The prom will feature a disc jockey, a coronation honoring mothers whose children have battled childhood cancer, a raffle and food and drink from local vendors.
The Gold Sponsor for the BrAva Mom Prom 2024 is Fraternal Order of Eagles 3665 of Beverly, which made a $15,000 donation. Other major sponsors so far include Amy's Flower Shoppe, Astorg Auto, Commonwealth, Courtney Wentz Photography, Haas, Kesterson Cleaners & Launderers, Little Bee Photography, Lisa's Sweet Stop, Marietta Brewing Company, Melissa Rose Photography, Premier Productions, Smith Concrete and the Valley List.
"We absolutely couldn't throw this fundraiser without the support of these sponsors," Erin Roberts, BrAva vice president, said. "This year's gold sponsorship from the Eagles in Beverly means so much to us because it will allow us to donate even more of the event proceeds to those who truly need it!"
The non-profit BrAva helps families affected by childhood cancer by providing funding and support. Since 2011, BrAva has returned more than $550,000 to local families and CureSearch, a national organization focused on childhood cancer treatment research.
