Parkersburg Art Center plans Hospitality Week

PARKERSBURG -- The Parkersburg Art Center will host Hospitality Week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday as its tribute to the unsung heroes of the hospitality industry.
The week-long event honors those who contribute to the vibrant hospitality scene in the community, including those in restaurants and hotels.
As part of the festivities, hospitality workers are invited to visit the Art Center during the week to receive a gift bag that includes an adult crafting kit, notepad, pen, stickers, a copy of the Art Center magazine and a delectable Cheryl's cookie provided by Crown Decor and Gift. Bags are provided on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Tours of the Art Center also are being offered.
"Our goal is to help build relationships within the MOV by thanking these hard workers for making the events, dinners and conferences in our community possible. We want to show appreciation for their hospitality while showcasing artful opportunities the PAC has to offer!" said Laurel Slone, Art Center events manager.
Families are encouraged to join in the celebration. All ages can explore the Artist Trees and the West Virginia Watercolor Society and Vinyl Remix exhibits. Visitors can browse PAC 713 Market and the Framing Gallery for unique and locally crafted items.
For families with children, the PAC-tivity stations featuring an "I Spy" prompt and LEGOs offer creativity and fun. The stations always are available for visitors to enjoy, adding an extra layer of entertainment for the whole family.
Admission to the Art Center during Hospitality Week and every week is entirely free through the support from WVU Medicine to ensure everyone in the community has the opportunity to experience the arts.
