SW Resources raffling 2023 Jeep Rubicon in fundraiser

PARKERSBURG -- A 2023 Jeep Rubicon or a cash option will be raffled in a fundraiser for SW Resources of Parkersburg.
Tickets for the four-wheel-drive vehicle are $25 each with all the proceeds going to support programs of SW Resources, according to Daphne Tichy, interim executive director of the organization.
Only 3,000 tickets will be sold, the sales goal for the SW Resources promotion, Tichy said. More than $21,000 has been raised as of early Friday afternoon.
The cash option is $50,000 instead of the new Jeep, Tichy said.
A drawing will be held at noon on Oct. 7 at City Park, Tichy added. The ticket holder does not have to be present to win. The title, license and taxes are the responsibility of the winner.
The winner will be notified if they are not present, Tichy said.
Tickets are being sold online at go.eventgroovefundraising.com/sw2023raffle. Buyers can also use a QR symbol or go to the SW graphics department at 1024 Seventh St., she said.
The funds from the raffle will support various SW Resources programs that provide employment opportunities for residents with disabilities.
"A little bit of everything," she said.
About 160 clients are served by SW Resources, she added. Among the services clients are involved in are Graphics Plus, Mail Plus, printing, warehouse and janitorial services and production services, including packing Mister Bee Potato Chips, Tichy said.
