* Family Fun Day
The second annual Family Fun Day sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Parkersburg will be held noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the church, 1341 Juliana St.
The free Family Fun Day includes dry and water inflatables, food, games, a trip to the First Presbyterian StoryTrek and SnoBiz.
* Bible Reading Marathon
The West Virginia Bible Reading Marathon will be held Sept. 9-13 at the Capitol in Charleston.
The event will be the first Bible Reading Marathon in West Virginia, according to the Rev. Casey Dawson of Belleville.
"We need volunteers to read, work tables and donate," he said.
A ministry of Seedline International, the marathon is a 90-hour reading of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation with no commentary or politics. Available are 360 15-minute slots for people of all ages to read the Bible.
Marathons will be held in every state capitol and this year included Nashville, Indianapolis and Harrisburg.

Kevin Spencer of the famous Spencer Family will perform in a gospel sing at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, at the Tri-County Worship Center on Limestone Hill in Rockport. For more information, call304 481-0150.

* Clothing Sale
A clothing sale will be held 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the South Parkersburg United Methodist Church, 1813 Rayon Drive.
Clothing will be a $1 per item and some items will be individually priced. Concessions will be available.
