Red Cross plans first aid, CPR classes in Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG -- The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED classes will be offered in July at the American Red Cross' Parkersburg office.

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements.

Upon successful completion, a valid two-year digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued.

Training classes are held at American Red Cross, 220 Eighth St. The basic in-person course will be held 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday.

The blended class will be held 5:30-7:45 p.m. July 25. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion accessed via mobile desktop or tablet must be completed prior to attending the instructor-led skills session.

Prior registration is required for all classes and can be completed by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or by going online at www.redcross.org and click on training.
