Picture This: St. Marys Community Concert Band ready to play again

The St. Marys Community Concert Band will present its first concert of 2023 at 7 p.m. April 15 in the St. Marys High School Auditorium. The band will present a variety of music including the John Philip Sousa Favorite “High School Cadets,” “On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss” by David R. Holsinger, based on “It Is Well with My Soul” and many more marches, Broadway and jazz hits and concert band classics. The concert is sponsored by the high school band patrons and although there is no admission fee, donations of any amount will be accepted to benefit the students in the band program. Under the skillful direction of Rocky Wiseman, Dave Burton and Wayne Smith, the band is made of residents from the Mid-Ohio Valley and is based in St. Marys.
