Golf Scramble for the Parkersburg High School Boys Track Team
PARKERSBURG -- A four-person golf scramble to benefit the Parkersburg High School 2023 Boys Track Team will be held April 29 starting with an 8 a.m. shotgun start at the Oxbow Golf Course.
Entry fee is $75 per player, or $300 per team, which includes greens fees and cart, the skins game, one mulligan per player, lunch and two beverages.

Poets in Motion at the Wood County Public Library
PARKERSBURG -- Three local poets will be featured in the National Poetry Month program Poets in Motion at 11 a.m. April 15 at the Parkersburg & Wood County Public Library on Emerson Avenue.
Featured will be Wilma Acree, David Prather and Sherrell Wigal. Each will read their poems and discuss their choices.
National Poetry Month celebrates the contributions and creative voices of poets in society.
