BELPRE -- The Belpre Rotary Club hosted Kevin Eagen, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Peoples Bank, at its noon March 29 meeting at the Belpre Senior Center.

Eagen described the financial institution's efforts to give back to the community through volunteerism, donations through the Peoples Bank Foundation and fundraisers that directly contribute to local charities and improvement projects.

He illustrated the bank's vision in action by listing that eight hours of paid time are given to each employee to directly volunteer in the community, that employees have been responsible for an accumulated donation of $350,000 to food pantries all over the bank's footprint covering all branches, and that as of December 2022, Peoples Bank Foundation, Inc., has awarded over $6.4 million in grants and scholarships since its inception in 2003.
