They discussed the shag club's activities and outreach to those interested in learning the shag dance. Randy Kinsolving, club member and disc jockey, described shag music and the history and events of the club.
Mike and Pattee Goodwin, shag club members, performed an exhibition dance to show interested persons the steps dancers use.
The Mid-Ohio Valley Shaggers was formed by Tim Miller, Jan Hutchins and others and was incorporated in 2004.
The club is a sanctioned member of the Association of Carolina Shag Clubs and meets at American Legion Post 15, Ohio Avenue, Parkersburg. The group learns dance steps and plays dance music every Thursday at that location.
