Worthington Women finalize Fun Day 2022

PARKERSBURG -- The Worthington Women's Golf Association held its July business meeting, announcing winners for June games and final plans for Fun Day on July 21.

June game winners were announced and prizes awarded to 18-hole players: Mary Lopez, Carol Liddle, Carol Geletko, Katie Parsons, Gaye Fife, Mary Ingram, Sandy Perrine, and Jean Tornes.

Nine-hole players receiving awards for June games were: Linda Lucky, Andrea Brock, Oma Jean Lynch, Lori Butler, Carlene Archer, Vicki Squires, Ellen Knotts and Susan Shawver.

Jean Tornes, chairman, announced final plans for the annual Fun Day event to be held July 21 at Worthington Golf Course. The day will begin with teams signing in and a continental breakfast. Scramble play will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Lunch will follow play, plus cash prizes and drawings await this year's players.

Fun Day is a much-anticipated annual event for area lady golfers. More than 80 lady golfers from the Mid-Ohio Valley are joining in the fun this year.
