PARKERSBURG -- Tickets and tables are available for the annual Inside the Huddle with Tony Caridi dinner in August to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Parkersburg.
The event will be held 5:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at Buzzy Dils Park in Vienna where Tony Caridi will talk about West Virginia University Mountaineer sports.
The annual dinner is sponsored by Intrastate Insurance and will be catered by the North End Tavern. Sponsor of the speaker is Becky Deem McGinnis.
Caridi is the play-by-play announcer for the Mountaineer Sports Network.
The sportscaster also is a writer and the author of a children's book, "Where, Oh Where, Oh Where, Could We Go? Traveling West Virginia High and Low."
"Thanks to our incredible speaker sponsor, Becky Deem McGinnis, we will welcome Tony Caridi to share the inside scoop on all things WVU football," Lynn Reins, chief executive officer of the Boys & Girls Club, said.
Inside the Huddle with Tony Caridi provides much-needed unrestricted funds for the areas of most need for the club to continue services.
The evening will include a raffle with prizes from local restaurants, businesses and services. Among the live auction items are tickets to a WVU football game with parking pass, a Bob Huggins-autographed basketball and jewelry from sponsor Wingrove Jewelers, among other items.
Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Winners do not need to be present to win.
Five hundred raffle tickets will be sold and can be purchased online or in person at the Boys & Girls Club, 1200 Mary St., or at Intrastate Insurance, 1385 Rosemar Road.
Tickets for the dinner are $75. A Blue table is $1,000 and a Gold table is $1,500.
