MARIETTA — Marietta College has again changed the venue for an Esbenshade Series performance by the Tesla String Quartet concert.
The concert will be held 3 p.m. Feb. 13 in the First Congregational Church, 318 Front St., Marietta. Tickets are not required.

Praised for its “superb capacity to find the inner heart of everything it plays, regardless of era, style or technical demand” by the International Review of Music, the Tesla Quartet brings refinement and prowess to both a new and established repertoire. Dubbed “technically superb” by The Strad, the Tesla Quartet has won top prizes in numerous international competitions, most recently taking Second Prize as well as the Haydn Prize and Canadian Commission Prize at the 12th Banff International String Quartet Competition. In 2018, the Tesla Quartet released its debut album of Haydn, Ravel and Stravinsky quartets to critical acclaim.
The endowed Frederica G. Esbenshade Fund was established in 1980 by Harry H. Esbenshade Sr. and Harry H. Esbenshade Jr., husband and son, respectively, of the late Mrs. Esbenshade of Uniontown, Pa.
