The YMCA also is participating in the annual Salvation Army Angel Tree Giving Program to provide local children ages 12 and under with gifts this Christmas.

"We are humbled by the generosity of our patrons, who quickly adopted the 25 angels that the Y received," YMCA Program Director Criss Welshans said. "We are excited to now help fulfill the need of Forgotten Angels with the Salvation Army."

Simultaneously, the YMCA is distributing coats to children for free as cold weather approaches. The coats are located at both entrances of the facility, and patrons can collect coats during the YMCA's standard hours of operation.

"We are thankful for our amazing relationship with the United Way of the Mid-Ohio Valley," Welshans said. "They generously donated kids' coats to our organization last winter which has allowed us to bless families this year, as well."
