PARKERSBURG -- Wood County Schools will hold a pre-K and kindergarten registration fair from 1-3 p.m. today at Jefferson Elementary Center.
Students must be 4 years old before July 1, 2021, to enroll. Parents/guardians may enroll for any school or site.
Parents also will have opportunities to receive information from a variety of local agencies, including the Parkersburg-Wood County Bookmobile, Family Resource Network, Parent Educator Resource Center, West Virginia Birth-to-Three and West Virginia 211.
Free books and hands-on learning materials will be available for those who register, as well as coupons from Chick-fil-A, Wendy’s, McDonald’s or Sweet Frog.
In addition to school sites, the Wood County Schools collaborative pre-K sites available are:
* A Little People Place, 728 ½ 29th St., Parkersburg (Madison - oversight school)
* Joyful Sound, 505 19th St., Parkersburg (Emerson Elementary - oversight school)
* Precious Angels, 14 Highland Ave., Parkersburg (Criss Elementary - oversight school)
