Wood County Democrats plan Earth Day cleanup effort

PARKERSBURG -- The Wood County Democratic Party will hold an Earth Day Clean Up 10 a.m.-noon Saturday.

Volunteers are encouraged to go to the Parkersburg High School horse shoe and help celebrate Earth Day by helping clean local streets.

Trash bags, gloves and a trash grabbing tool to safely pick up trash will be provided. All social distancing and mask protocols will be followed.

The Solid Waste Authority of Parkersburg is providing equipment needed for the event.

The cleanup will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
