Pitch, Hit and Run set for Saturday in Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG — The Boys & Girls Club of Parkersburg will play host Saturday to a free Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run competition for children ages 7-14.

It’s scheduled for noon Saturday at the club, 1200 Mary St., Parkersburg. Participants should register online at tinyurl.com/93434k4z and bring age verification.

Pitch, Hit & Run is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball, designed to recognize individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills. Boys and girls are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14, and have the chance to advance through three levels of competition, including team championships and the finals during the World Series.
