Parkersburg South student pens book series
PARKERSBURG — One is never too old or young to chase their dreams and a junior at Parkersburg South High School is gearing up to bring her dreams of being an author to life.
Abby Farnsworth, 17, decided at 16 that she wanted to do more than to just read great books, she wanted to write them as well.
One year later and she has published her first book and has a second on the way. The books are planned to be a trilogy. The first book, “EverGreen,” is a young adult paranormal romance, which will be on sale starting March 8.
“…he watched me as if I was the most fascinating thing he’d ever seen.” The book blurb continues with: “Lily Rhodes had led a perfectly normal life, up until the day she met Rowan Marx, an alluring, secretive boy who she’d never noticed before. At the end of her senior year, Lily’s world is turned upside down by the sparks of first love, the betrayal of her best friend, and the discovery of secrets buried long ago. Ultimately, Lily will learn a lesson she thought she already understood: never judge a book by its cover. Because if you do, you might just miss the magic hidden within.”
For those wishing to read more, the book can be purchased locally at J and M’s Books and Games, where Farnsworth will be doing a book signing on March 27 from 4-6 p.m. Others may purchase the book on Apple books or Amazon.
A second book signing will be held on May 1 at the Watering Can Art Center in the Grand Central Mall.
“I am so thankful to everyone in the community who has been so supportive of my career and future aspirations,” said Farnsworth.
Her second book will be released at the end of this year, and is titled “Moonlit Skies.”
