Smith named new RMI Property Division Chair

Attorney Dustin Smith, a native of Vincent, Ohio, has been named as the new Chair of the Property Division of Roberts, Matejczyk & Ita Co. LPA (RMI), a law firm located in Seville, Ohio. RMI, with 22 employees, represents insurance companies on claims in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.

Smith is the son of Attorney Ray Smith, Director of the Washington County Branch / Assistant State Public Defender, and Mary Beth Smith of Vincent. He is a graduate of Warren High School.

"Dustin Smith joined RMI in 2017, progressed to shareholder, and consistently demonstrated exceptional legal expertise, competent leadership, and a strong commitment to delivering successful results for our clients," said RMI President Glenna Roberts.

His cases have involved high profile commercial and residential fires, gas explosions, electrical and mechanical failures, structure failures and product liability claims. As Chair of the Property Division, Smith will oversee the division's operations and growth, supervise and mentor the firm's property loss attorneys and continue to serve clients with skilled and competent representation.

Smith obtained his bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University. He was a member of the university’s Fundamentals of Engineering-Honors Program. He obtained his J.D. from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
