Mousa named 2026 WVSOM Preceptor award winner

LEWISBURG, W.Va. – Dr. Albeir Mousa, chief of vascular and endovascular surgery at Marietta Memorial Hospital, has been recognized for his work with West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine students with the 2026 Outstanding Specialty Preceptor Award for the Central West Region.

Preceptors assist and provide guidance to School of Osteopathic Medicine students in their third- and fourth-year clinical rotations. Each year, Outstanding Primary Care and Specialty Preceptor awards are given to physicians from each of the school’s seven campus regions.

There are 88 hospitals, clinics and medical centers across West Virginia and surrounding states that participate in the School of Osteopathic Medicine’s statewide campus system.
