PARKERSBURG – Playoffs and bowl games are on their way to settle the college football season, but the winners of the 2025 Parkersburg News and Sentinel Readers’ Choice will be revealed Wednesday.
The newspaper’s annual competition to identify the best purveyors of services from manicures and pedicures to optometry culminates with a winner and two finalists in each of more than 200 sub-categories.
Readers submitted almost 1,900 nominees across the overall categories of Body and Soul; Entertainment and Travel; Food and Dining; Health and Beauty; Homes and Gardens; Kids and Education; Pets; Services; Shopping; and Vehicles.
Voting reduced those entries to five nominees per category in October, with readers asked to choose their favorites in November.
An independent third party has tabulated the votes, with the results to appear in Wednesday’s paper and online at newsandsentinel.com/readerschoice.
“Our readers help us celebrate the businesses and organizations who help make the Mid-Ohio Valley a special place to live and work,” said Lisa Northcraft, News and Sentinel advertising director. “We appreciate them making the Readers’ Choice something to look forward to each year.”
