MARIETTA — Downtown Marietta will be bustling with bargains for the holiday shopping season during First Friday Moonlight Madness on Dec. 5.
Hosted by Marietta Main Street, the popular event has been a long standing tradition and runs from 5-10 p.m. Throughout the evening, shoppers will draw a surprise discount “snowball” at the checkout, ranging from 10-40% off their purchase.
In addition, some businesses will have a one-time 50% discount ball in the mix, adding a bit more excitement for a few lucky shoppers.
At the Armory, the Marietta High School choir will entertain the community with holiday carols at 6 p.m., with small groups of carolers after adding their voices to the downtown festivities.
Following the choir, a brass band will be playing at the Armory.
Downtown First Friday events take place the first Friday of every month from 5-9 p.m., February through December. Highlights of these events include late shopping, artists and musicians, area organizations and various activities tied into the theme.
