PARKERSBURG — Downtown Parkersburg will be hopping again on Friday for the second Meet Me on Market event.

From 5 to 8 p.m., visitors can enjoy live music, art activities, shopping, food, wellness pop-ups, and more.

At the Parkersburg Art Center, The Market gift shop will be open late with live artist demonstrations, cookies, and a free prize raffle. Inside the galleries, visitors can check out the Art Is Life exhibit and enjoy hands-on crafts with the PAC Pottery Studio, Girl Scouts, and the Solid Waste Authority.

The PAC cash bar will be serving beer and wine in PODA cups so guests can sip and stroll. At 7 p.m., the Vintage Shakespeare Theatre Company will present “Macbeth” in the PAC ballroom. Tickets are available now on the Art Center’s website.

Over at Highmark Plaza, the Simply Kin Mini Market returns with a lineup of local makers, live music, and the Sips Coffee truck–celebrating its two-year anniversary.

“We’ll be celebrating on June 20 at Meet Me on Market, and I really hope you’ll come,” said Jen Allman, owner of Sips. “We’ve got a special treat just for you and a ton of giveaways that evening – including one lucky winner who’ll get one free Sips drink a week for the next year.”

First Chapter Bookstore will host three local authors, Joy E. Held, TJ West, and Jason Nulton. All three will be on hand to meet readers and sign books.

Enhanced Wellness, on the corner of Seventh and Market, will keep the fun going with music and a selfie station by A-ROC Entertainment. Outside, Jamie “Flower Daddy” will be selling fresh bouquets, and Sunset Slush will serve Italian ice and boba. Inside, guests can take advantage of medspa specials only available that night.

Just down the block, Rooted Wellness MOV will welcome guests into their new space and introduce their services. Outside the United Way office, families will find West Virginia-themed crafts and trivia for kids.

West Virginia University at Parkersburg will bring back local singer Moon King and have their admissions team on hand with giveaways and WV-themed coloring sheets in honor of the state’s birthday.

The Blennerhassett Hotel will host live bluegrass music by Jake Eddy, and the WV Food Truck Festival will be set up at Bicentennial Park with a full lineup of local food trucks for the evening.

Weird Flex Yoga will hold a sunset class at the First Presbyterian Church labyrinth. Owner Michelle Waters encourages students to explore Meet Me on Market before heading up the street for yoga.

There will also be Meet Me on Market scavenger hunt bingo cards. Completed cards can be turned into Sips Coffee Truck to enter a drawing for a prize bundle filled with downtown swag, including beauty products, t-shirts, gift cards and a ukulele.
