Ritchie Regional Health Center partners with Jefferson Elementary Center

PARKERSBURG -- Ritchie Regional Health Center and the Jefferson Elementary Center have announced a new partnership to provide health services to students, families and staff.

Facilitated by the Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley's Partner-In-Education Program, the collaboration will make it easier for the school community to access vital healthcare resources, organizers said.

"Our goal is to enhance the student's educational experience while providing care for their physical and emotional well-being," Amy Yokum, CEO of Ritchie Regional Health Center, said.

"Ritchie Regional Health Center has served Jefferson Elementary and the community since 2006 with the school-based health center on the school campus," Yokum said.

"We are excited about this opportunity to strengthen our partnership with the students and staff," she said.

Jefferson Elementary is fortunate to be partnered with Ritchie Regional Health Center, school Principal Tina Lowers said.

"Having access to healthcare services on campus can greatly benefit students, families and staff alike. Not only does it provide convenience and accessibility, but it also promotes overall wellness within the school community," Lowers said. "Partnerships like these are essential for ensuring the well-being of everyone involved in the educational environment."

Ritchie Regional Health Center was established in 1994 and offers primary care services at eight schools in Doddridge, Pleasants, Ritchie and Wood counties. Six are designated school-based health centers.
