Modesitt receives West Virginia Friend of Fair Award

CHARLESTON -- During the final day of the annual West Virginia Fairs & Festivals Conference, Rick Modesitt, president of RMA Presents Inc., was presented with the annual "Friend of Fair Award" by West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals President Stephen White and Treasurer Tom Clark.
Clark noted Modesitt has done business with fairs and festivals in the state for 38 years, starting out as a volunteer with the Parkersburg Homecoming Festival.
"Not long after, he created his own business, which has become one of the major entertainment agencies in the tri-state area and (is) now working in 17 states," he said. "He has been a faithful supporter of West Virginia fairs and festivals and our association with our trade show, our entertainment showcases and our queens pageant."
Modesitt said he was surprised by and thankful for the award.
"I very much appreciate our clients throughout West Virginia, but more importantly, I value the friendships I have made along the way," he said. "While we work across 17 states, West Virginia is always our home base.
"We all know we live in a crazy world today, and if more people and youth were involved in fair, festivals and community events providing wholesome family events and improving our communities, no doubt our world would be a much better place," he said.
