MARIETTA -- WASCO Inc. has announced a new charitable fund with the Marietta Community Foundation.
The fund will provide WASCO with an efficient and effective way to raise funds for its initiatives and projects.
"This charitable fund not only strengthens our capacity to support critical projects, but also allows us to provide our donors with a seamless and sustainable giving experience," Alicia Simms, WASCO chief executive officer, said.
WASCO is a non-profit organization devoted to empowering individuals with disabilities. More than 70 participants benefit from services fostering community integration and personal growth and an inclusive family-like environment.
Among services offered are Voc-Hab/Production, Facility Based ADS and Community Based ADS. The programs provide skill-building, community engagement and employment opportunities and initiatives such as Mobile Work Crew and Courthouse Cafe to spotlight its commitment to individual growth and community contribution.
