Van Devender Middle School, Coplin Health Systems ink Partners in Education agreement

PARKERSBURG -- Coplin Health Systems and Van Devender Middle School are new Partners In Education, a program of the Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley.

A ceremonial signing was held Sept. 18 with: Rob Dudley, Coplin Health Systems CEO; Principal Kurt Echard of VanDevender; Jill Parsons, president and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce; and Kennith Cook, director of secondary education at Wood County Schools.

"Our goal is for students to embrace healthy lifestyles that enable them to achieve more in the classroom and in their extracurricular activities," Jennifer Parsons, site director at Coplin Health Systems, said. "We are thrilled to join the Vandy family. Go Blue Devils."

Echard said it is an honor to have Coplin Clinic on the school's team.

"Together, the future looks bright," he said.

Such partnerships are important for the community and the school, according to Parsons.

"Partnerships like this one are essential to fostering a strong, interconnected community. They create a win-win situation, enriching both our educational institutions and local businesses," she said. "The Chamber is proud to play a role in bringing these partnerships to life."
