PARKERSBURG -- United Bank has donated $5,000 to Westbrook Health Services.

The annual $5,000 high-impact donation from the bank will help provide and expand services and programs for individuals and families in need in the community from the comprehensive behavioral healthcare facility.

Each year, United Bank provides a high-impact donation to a local nonprofit organization that shares the bank's commitment to empowering historically underserved areas and people and making effective changes in and bolstering the Parkersburg community.

Representatives from United Bank presented the donation at a recent Westbrook Health Services board of directors meeting, where the team was able to learn more about Westbrook's current and future initiatives. In addition to the donation, United will build upon the partnership with Westbrook to better understand and meet the needs of the community, while also helping to advance the nonprofit's mission through volunteerism.

"Commitment to our communities is a central part of United Bank's mission, and we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for families and individuals throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley and surrounding areas," Patrick Bryan, United Bank Wood Market president, said. "We are inspired by the work of Westbrook Health Services and are pleased to contribute to the advancement of their life-changing services and programs through the market's high-impact donation. The United team looks forward to continuing to work with Westbrook and their clients through various financial literacy and volunteer activities."

For more than 70 years, Westbrook Health Services, Inc. has served as the industry leader in providing comprehensive care to individuals with mental health challenges, developmental disabilities and substance use disorder. Their team -- made up of experienced and compassionate healthcare professionals, counselors and social workers -- works to meet the needs of over 7,000 people annually, providing quality treatment, support and education.

"We extend our thanks to United Bank and their local team for their generosity and support through this donation. We strive to provide top-quality services and programs to promote the well-being of individuals and families struggling with a wide range of challenges. These funds will help us continue and expand upon these programs," Westbrook Health Services President and CEO Kevin Trippett said.

"Additionally, volunteers help us better serve our clients in need, and knowing United has a team of volunteers who want to help is a great resource. We're grateful United Bank shares our commitment to Mid-Ohio Valley residents."
