PARKERSBURG -- The Mid-Ohio Valley Multi-Cultural Festival held its opening ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday at City Park and will continue through the weekend to end on Sunday.
Saturday will have a plethora of diverse events and shows, ranging from High Schools that Rock to a fire performance in the evening. Sunday also has diverse activities that represent the diversity in the MOV.
The following is a schedule for this weekend's events:
SATURDAY
* 11 a.m. – High Schools that Rock
* 11 a.m.-5 p.m. – Children's Art Workshop
* 11 a.m.-8 p.m. – Foam garage
* 11 a.m.-9 p.m. – Bookmobile; Train Rides
* Noon – Mick Souter (Singer/Storyteller)
* 1 p.m. – El Corazon de Mexico (Mexican Dance)
* 2 p.m. – Ugata (African Drumming)
* 3 p.m. – Shimmy Mob (Bellydance)
* 3:15 p.m. – Soph Stevens (local solo musician)
* 4 p.m. – Hula Dancers
* 5 p.m. – Prodigals (Celtic Music)
* 6:30 p.m. – El Corazon de Mexico (Mexican Dance)
