MARIETTA — A Marietta band has recorded its second album.
Songs from “Another Round” by Oyo, to be released Tuesday, are streaming on Spotify, Apple Music and other venues. Oyo’s first album, “Oyo,” was released in February 2022.
“Another Round” features guests and collaborators from Southeast Ohio and West Virginia, including John Borchard on pedal steel, Jesse Milnes on fiddle, Emily Miller on background vocals, Sam Lamont on background vocals and guitar, Andy Ray on percussion and Adam Remnant on background vocals. The album was mastered by Glenn Davis.
The album features 10 songs by Aaron Martin and Michael Bond. The band’s raucous honky-tonk, barn-dance energy comes through on many of the tracks while “Wheels Up” is an introspective of the depths of longing and the struggle of letting go.
“Another Round” was recorded by Southeast Ohio singer-songwriter Adam Remnant in a remote orchard cabin outside of Marietta and in the studio at the historic Stuart’s Opera House in Nelsonville.

Oyo features Cole Adair on guitar and vocals; Michael Bond on keys, vocals and harmonica; Aaron Martin on fiddle, mandolin, vocals and guitar; Bobby Rosenstock on banjo; Joe Ryckebosch on drums; and Drew Tanner on bass and background vocals. Rosenstock also operates JustAjar Design Press in Marietta and created a woodcut for the album cover of the orchard house in the woods where the band spends so much of its time.
The forthcoming vinyl edition of the album will feature hand-printed covers made from the woodcut. Preorders are available at oyotheband.com.
Oyo will celebrate the release of “Another Round” when it shares the stage with Larry and Jenny Keel on June 30 at the Adelphia Music Hall in Marietta.
