Great American Petting Zoo returning to Mid-Ohio Valley in June

PARKERSBURG — Four groceries in the region will participate in the 32nd Great American Entertainment Co. petting farm tour in West Virginia.
The Great American Petting Farm includes llamas, wallabies, African pygmy goats, exotic sheep, Vietnamese potbellied pigs, bantam chickens, miniature call ducks and miniature deer.
Admission is free with any purchase from a participating grocery.
Participating locally are Piggly Wiggly on Emerson Avenue and Plum Street in Parkersburg, Foodland in Glenville and Foodland in Grantsville.
The petting farm will be at Foodland in Glenville on June 21, at Foodland in Grantsville on June 22, Piggly Wiggly on Emerson Avenue on June 23 and Piggly Wiggly on Plum Street on June 24.
The Great American Entertainment Co. was started 36 years ago by David and Dianne Linderman to support a five-acre wildlife park in Oregon where there were more than 200 animals and 20 troubled teenagers.
