Quarterly luncheons are a popular way for members and guests to gather for a leisurely lunch and hear from a fellow member who sponsors the event and shares updates on the sponsor’s business. BELPRE -- The Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce, The Parkersburg News and Sentinel, The Marietta Times and Boxers Bed and Biscuits are partnering for the annual Belpre Business Expo, set for Monday, April 24, from 4-6:30 p.m. at Boxers's site, 1301 Washington Blvd. in Belpre.
The event showcases Belpre Area and Mid-Ohio Valley businesses and nonprofits in an exposition format. Entrance is free, and numerous door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening.
The public is encouraged to attend the event, and, "the Chamber extends a special thanks to all business owners, managers, employees, community leaders and business developers who participated by purchasing a display/advertising package through the Parkersburg News and Sentinel and Marietta Times," according to Karen Waller, Executive Director of the Chamber.
"Where else can you cover several ways to reach customers and clients: print, digital, and face-to-face?" she said.
The Chamber's "Connections Committee," is chaired by Jessica Walters, branch manager of the Downtown Parkersburg location of Community Bank, and oversees this event and all other events of the Chamber.
"In addition to our Annual Dinner set for Oct. 19, 2023, this event highlights our year of advocating for expansion and retention of business in the area," Waller said. "Boxers is a premier location with adequate space, accessibility and environment to step out and highlight all that is happening in the Valley.
"The chamber is proud of the strength of our local businesses and nonprofits, and we hope the public comes out to see the expansion that has happened in our area while checking out our participants' services," Waller added. "It's a great way to show our appreciation to businesses who pour investment and energy into our economy."
