Artsbridge names Dennis executive director

PARKERSBURG -- Artsbridge has named a new executive director, Lyndsay Dennis of Belpre.

Dennis is a Belpre born and raised arts administration and passionate professional in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

She has almost seven years of experience in the non-profit arts world, an associate degree in accounting and recently won her first run for local office and serves as the Third Ward representative for the Belpre City Council.

She also serves on the board of the Belpre Homecoming as its Treasurer as well as for the Warren Elementary Academic Boosters.

"I am so excited to hit the ground running and to keep learning and growing professionally in this industry. The Mid-Ohio Valley is such a wonderful place to call home and I am thrilled to be stepping into this role and adding to the arts community," said Dennis.

Artsbridge has served the community since 1966 and emerged in 1986 as an arts service agency for Washington and Wood counties. It has continued to serve as a cornerstone to the arts community since its inception, establishing a mission to "ignite the Arts within the Mid-Ohio Valley." Artsbridge is a local non-profit that connects the arts to all residents and schools of the valley.

Artsbridge offers over 24 programs that help artists plan and implement events in five counties in West Virginia and Ohio. Artsbridge is looking forward to growing with Dennis at the helm and she will be a positive asset to the organization, according to a press release announcing her appointment to the position.
