West Virginia University economist to speak abut Mid-Ohio Valley outlook

PARKERSBURG - The Mid-Ohio Valley Economic Outlook Presentation by the West Virginia University College of Business & Economics will be held noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in conference Rooms 100A and 100B in the Workforce & Community Education Building at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.

Speaking will be economist John Deskins, director of Business & Economic Research at WVU.

A team of his students will again discuss information it has gathered about the Mid-Ohio Valley. Topics will include the trends for growth, population indicators, economic challenges, demographics, small business opportunities and workforce activity.

The cost is $25 per person, and lunch will be provided. Pre-registration is required, and payment is appreciated by credit card or check prior to the event.

Space is limited to the first 70 registrants.
