PARKERSBURG — Pickering Associates, an architecture, engineering and surveying firm, has promoted new leadership from within the company.

Abby Wright has been promoted to director of operations.

During her tenure with Pickering Associates, she has spearheaded and managed many corporate improvement initiatives. She has updated the company’s human resources policies and procedures to meet needs of existing and future Pickering Associates employees.

Wright also has improved the company’s safety and health program and has provided leadership to the administrative teams at Pickering Associates. She has consistently demonstrated strong leadership in all her assignments and duties.

As director of operations, Wright will provide leadership and guidance to the administrative team while continuing to manage the human resources and safety programs for the company. Additional duties include working with senior management to meet company objectives and managing the day-to-day operations of the company.

Wright received her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and earned her MBA from Franklin University. She has been with Pickering Associates for four years and has a Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional designation.
