Express Care opens in Fruth Pharmacy
PARKERSBURG — An Express Care location in Fruth Pharmacy at Mineral Wells on West Virginia 14 has been opened by WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center.
The location, which aims to bring quick, convenient care to those residents in the area, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and is closed on major holidays, the hospital said.
“Our mission is to meet the health care needs of our community for a lifetime. We are excited about the opportunity to serve residents in areas around Mineral Wells and Wirt County and expand convenience and access to the WVU Medicine brand of healthcare in this community, “ Sean Smith, chief operator officer at WVU Medicine Camden Clark, said. “Based on the use of this new service and location, we’ll most like likely evolve to mirror the hours of Fruth Pharmacy, in order to expand access over time.”
Fruth Pharmacy is excited with the partnership and to provide such convenient care for patients in the Mineral Wells area, Lynne Fruth, president of Fruth Pharmacy, said.
“Patients often seek the advice of pharmacists and our pharmacists will now have the ability to refer the patient to the clinic for additional medical care,” Fruth said. “The clinic will be an asset to both our pharmacy and community.”
According to the hospital, the Express Care location is a convenient option for those experiencing upper and lower respiratory infections, common colds, allergies, minor sprains and urinary complaints.
Those experiencing issues such as chest or abdominal pain, trauma, pregnancy complications or migraines should continue to seek healthcare through their primary care, urgent care or emergency room providers, Camden Clark said.
