BPA regional winners advance to state

MARIETTA — Thirty-one students from the Washington County Career Center Business Professionals of America youth organization have competed and placed in the top four of the BPA Regional Competition. The students advanced to the state competition March 14-15 in Columbus where winners will advance to the national tournament May 1-5 in Anaheim, Calif.

Competing at the State level are:

* Advanced Word Processing: Audrey Erb, a senior from Frontier in the Digital Marketing program, daughter of William and Cynthia Erb of Whipple.

* Broadcast News Production Team: Haley Augenstein, a senior from Marietta in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, and daughter of Jeremy Augenstein of Marietta and Angie Augenstein of Marietta; Emily Snyder, a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, daughter of Jeremy and Lisa Snyder of Vincent.

* Business Law and Ethics: Theodore Johnson, a junior from Warren in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, son of David and Erica Johnson of Waterford.

* Computer Network Technology: Noah Curry, a junior from Marietta in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, son of Leslie Curry of Marietta; and Ashton Franks, a junior from Warren in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, son of Jason and Christina Franks of Barlow.

* Computer Security: Austin Amash, a senior from Marietta in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, son of Dr. Roland and Christina Amash of Marietta; and Joseph Titler, senior from Marietta in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, son of Steven and Beth Titler of Marietta.

* Digital Publishing: David Sloter, a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, son of Dwight and Page Sloter of Fleming

* Entrepreneurship: Trent Means, a junior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program, son of James White and Misha Ward of Marietta

* Fundamental Desktop Publishing: Elisa Masselli, a junior from Marietta in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, daughter of Ken and Pamela Masselli of Marietta; and Reese Paynter, a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, son of Jeff Paynter of Vincent and Kasey Paynter of Springfield

* Fundamentals of Web Design: Devan Robinson, a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, son of Scott Robinson of Vincent and Lynne Robinson of Little Hocking.

* Global Marketing Team: Gwendolyn Brookhart, a senior from Belpre in the Digital Marketing program, daughter of Thomas and Joyce Brookhart of Belpre. Matthew Gossett, a senior from Belpre in the Digital Marketing program, son of Kathy Gossett of Belpre; and Brandon Hook, a senior from Belpre in the Digital Marketing program, son of Russell Skidmore and Susan Baker of Belpre.

* Graphic Design Promotion: Emily Wiseman, a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, daughter of Bob and Dorothy Wiseman of Boaz and Kim Wiseman of Little Hocking.

* Interview Skills: Bradley Bee, a junior from Fort Frye in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, son of Eric and Melissa Bee of Beverly.

* PC Servicing and Troubleshooting: Keldin O’Connor, a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, son of Brian O’Connor of Little Hocking and the grandson of Mona O’Connor of Little Hocking; and Seth Westfall, a senior from Belpre in the Graphic Design and Video Production program, son of Delisa Westfall of Belpre.

* Presentation Management Individual: Lindsay Heiss, a junior from Fort Frye in the Digital Marketing program, daughter of Andy and Liza Heiss of Beverly.

* Small Business Management Team: Dallas Cantrell, a senior from Belpre in the Digital Marketing program, great grandson of Mary Williams of Belpre; Brendan Deem, a senior from Belpre in the Digital Marketing program, son of Angie Deem of Belpre; and Joshua Neville, a senior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program, son of Mike Neville of Marietta and Julie Snyder of Marietta.
