Records – Wood Magistrate
PARKERSBURG – Wood County Magistrate Court released the following cases in mid-May:
* A citation of battery was dismissed without prejudice against David McCue, 821 Hugh St., Parkersburg
* A speeding citation was dismissed against Michael Burton Keiser, 286 Grassy Run Road, Mineral Wells. He pleaded guilty in a plea agreement to driving left of center and was assessed $186.48.
* Earl Michael Steinmetz, 1824 Murdoch Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to battery of a government representative, health care provider, utility worker, law enforcement or EMS officer, was assessed $276.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with six days credit. Two other counts of the same charge were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
* Courtney Lea Paschen, 1601 Washington Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving while license was suspended or revoked and was assessed $276.48. A citation for registration violation was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
* John Julius Smith, Detroit, pleaded guilty to failure to process fingerprints and possession of a controlled substance; was sentenced to 10 days in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation; and assessed $352.86. Charges of public intoxication and domestic assault or battery were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
* A preliminary hearing was waived on charges of violating sex offender registration, second offense, by Dorothy May Gibson, 1511 15th Ave., Parkersburg. The case was transferred to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Citations of expired motor vehicle registration, no certificate of inspection and no proof of insurance were dismissed against Christian A. Keller, 292 Wood St., Davisville.
* Hunter Wayne Felter, 640 Newells Run Road, Newport, pleaded guilty to speeding and was $186.48.
* Austin Dale Leek, 2555 Dutch Ridge Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding, 64 mph in a 55 mph zone, and was assessed $181.48.
* Probable cause on a charge of unlawful possession of a deadly weapon was found against Deonte Jujuan Lindsey, 646 Liberty Place, Parkersburg. The case was transferred to circuit court.
