PARKERSBURG -- The following cases were heard in Wood County Magistrate Court on October 19:
• Joshua Lee Kerr, 1168 Pennike Road, Murraysville, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate, possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription and fined $377.96.
• Catherine Page Stauffer, 2432 Dudley Ave., Parkersburg pleaded guilty to accidents involving damage to vehicle and fined $206.48. A charge of no insurance was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
• Andy Ray Reed, 6187 Elizabeth Pike, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, fined $351.48 and sentenced to 24 hours in jail.
• Gregory Allen Hutson, 1010 Johnson Run Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48. Charges of going left of center, two counts of possession of a controlled substance (Fentanyl) were dismissed, per a plea agreement. He also pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (Heroin), fined $186.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation where he will continue treatment. He also pleaded guilty to fleeing from a police officer, disorderly conduct, fined $372.96 and sentenced to 120 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation where he will continue treatment. All of the sentences will run concurrently. Charges of obstruction and possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
• Donald William Murray, 2740 Dutch Ridge Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and fined $201.48. A charge of driving a vehicle in an impaired state was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
• A preliminary hearing was waived on charges of third-offense shoplifting and third-offense shoplifting penalties against Dana Lee Kelley, 1508 Central Ave., Parkersburg. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court. Another charge of third-offense shoplifting penalties was dismissed.
• Molly Beth Jones, 939 Hannaman Lane, Elizabeth, was arraigned on four counts of shoplifting and released on $4,000 bond.
• Ryan Wayne Devore, 77 Helen Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $500 bond.
• Chelsey Paige Hart, 1404 17th St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of child neglect and released on $3,000 bond.
• Anthony Lee Given, 1110 Edwin St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense shoplifting and released on $2,500 bond.
• Christian Donley Benefiel, 12247 Energy Highway, Friendly, was arraigned on a charge of driving on a revoked license for DUI and released on $1,000 bond.
• Tammy Sue Drake, 540 College Parkway Apt. 108, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of expired registration and expired MVI and released on $1,000 bond.
• Bryan Alan Knorr, 1014 Swann St., Apt. 4, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (Meth) and held on $500 bond.
• Candy Rochelle Bentz, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of first-degree arson and first-degree attempted arson and held on $50,000 bond.
• Virgil Leo Leggett, 1057 Welch Road, Culter, pleaded guilty to failure to obey traffic control devices and fined $196.48.
• Terry Lee Williams, 71 Lantana Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to driving too fast for road conditions and fined $186.48.
• Ralfe Lindel Upshaw, pleaded no contest to failure to obey traffic control devices and was fined $186.48.
• Robin Lee Roberts, 557 Sixth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, shoplifting, fined $372.96 and sentenced to 90 days in jail and placed on an unsupervised probation for one year.Roberts was ordered to pay a $103.86 civil penalty to Walmart.
