Jeffrey and Nguyen thi hoang Oanh

Jeffrey Dean Smith of Parkersburg and Nguyen thi hoang Oanh of Vietnam were married the morning of Dec. 17, 2022, in Vietnam at Gold View Department at the bride’s sister’s house with parents, sister, brother-in-law, brother, niece and friend.

A reception was held later in the day at Vien Dong Hotel in Vietnam with 100 persons eating, drinking and singing.

Smith is the son of Betty W. Smith and the late James E. Smith of Parkersburg. The bride will not be allowed to come to the U.S. until later in 2023.
