Kathleen Elora Klinger and LTC Foy Steven Walden were married on Jan. 21, 2017 at Graham Chapel in Montreat, N.C. Dr. Steve Harris, founding pastor of New Life Community Church, Asheville, N.C., officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Edward and Charlita Craig Klinger, formerly of Little Hocking and Belpre. She is granddaughter of the late Edward and Jessie Somerfield Klinger of Ormond-by-the-Sea, Fla., and the late Charles and Helen Miller Craig of Belpre.
The groom is the son Mary Jane Walden of Forest City, N.C. and the late Foy Pruett. He is the grandson of the late William and Pearl Walden of Kinsey, Ala., and the late Wilmer and Hazel Hill Martin of Donalsonville, Ga.
The couple had their children as their attendants. Bridesmaids were Emma Elora, Patricia Jane and Audrey Kathleen. Groomsmen were Jacob Harris, Samuel Lloyd and Oliver Pruett. Flower girl was the niece of the bride, Veronica Joy Becksfort of Cincinnati. Ring Bearer was cousin of the bride, Chase Charles Craig of Willoughby.
The bride is a 1992 graduate of Warren Local High School, 1996 graduate of Asbury University in Wilmore, Ky., with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and a 1998 graduate of Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill., with a master of arts degree in clinical psychology. She is employed as a kids church pastor at New Life Community Church.
The groom is a 1991 graduate of East Rutherford High Schoolin Forest City, N.C., 1996 graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., earning a bachlor of science degree in political science and a 2013 graduate of Webster University in Webster, Mo., with a master of arts degree in human resource management. He is a field grade officer in the United States Army.
Following a reception at the Gaither Fellowship Hall, the couple honeymooned in Puerto Rico. They reside in Weaverville, N.C.
