Amy Elizabeth Fanta and Ashley Adair Caruthers were married at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at The Parkersburg Country Club. The outdoor ceremony was officiated by Rev. Bill Brown.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Fanta of Vienna.
The groom is the son of Ms. Marilyn Roberts Caruthers of Scott Depot, W.Va. and Monte Caruthers of Poca, W.Va.
Music was performed by the string trio The Trillium. The bridal party advanced to “Can You Count the Stars” by F. Schubert. The bride progressed to “Canon in D” by J.S Pachelbel. “Paradise” by Coldplay was played for the recessional.
The groom was accompanied by Xavier and Boston Caruthers, sons of the groom. They wore navy suits with blush ties.
Gretchen Proctor of Washington, D.C. and Steffie Peters of Columbus, Ohio, were bridesmaids. They wore blush knee-length silk chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of white and blush roses and white hydrangeas.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a lace sheath dress and carried a bouquet of white and blush roses and white hydrangeas. The stems were wrapped in white satin ribbon and fastened with her grandmother Kathryn Waters’ cameo brooch. She was preceded by the ring bearer, her son Asher Knell, and nieces of the groom Audrey and Macie Caruthers, the flower girls.
A reception with dinner and dancing followed and was held in the ballroom of The Parkersburg Country Club.
The couple honeymooned at Nemacolin Resort and resides in Vienna.
