Newlun-Long

David Alan Long and Tina Rae Newlun were united in marriage on July 16 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Lowell with Father Timothy Shannon officiating.

The groom is the son of the late Robert and Lucy Long of Lowell.

The bride is the daughter of Mary Newlun and the late John Newlun of Long Bottom, Ohio.

The bride was escorted by Sargent Jonathen S. Cowdery, son of the bride. Maid of honor was Army Specialist Katelyn Amber Skaggs, daughter-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Cristy Riggs, sister of the bride and Charity McCauley, best friend of the bride. Flower girl Emery Riggs, niece of the bride.

Best man was Dakoda Cowdery, son of the bride. Groomsmen were Brent Long, nephew of the groom and Micah Cowdery, son of the bride.

Readers were Janice Jacobs, sister of the groom, Jan Long, sister-in-law of the groom and Jenna Long, niece of the groom. Offeratory gifts were presented by Mark and Evelyn Potter, sister and brother-in-law of the groom.

Wedding colors were navy blue and silver with red accents.

A dinner reception followed the ceremony in the reception hall.

The couple danced their first dance to “Wanted.” The bride danced the mother-son dance with her three sons to “That’s What Mama’s Do.”

The couple honeymooned to Lake Erie and traveled throughout the week.
