Alvin and Donna were married in Greenup, Kentucky, on Dec. 18, 1953. Their union produced five children, Kathie (Ken) Gibb, Vickie (Gary) Hendershot, Alvin Michael (Ronda) Ludwig, John Edward Ludwig, and Jennifer (Rick) Yerex. They have 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild so far.
Alvin was a welder and fabricator by trade and became co-owner of a Marietta-based fabricating business, C.L.W. Incorporated. Donna has always been a dedicated homemaker. She also received her cosmetology license and practiced this profession for a time, along with childcare assignments from time to time for family and friends. For many years, Alvin farmed at the homeplace of his grandparents, the Martins, in Fleming, Ohio, before the couple moved to the Devola area. Recently, the couple moved to their new location with the energy to personally create a new homeplace. They also are vibrant, influential faith mentors and officers, serving in their home church, North Hills Baptist.
Alvin and Donna’s family cordially invite their church family and friends from their past and present to celebrate with them. Please join us in honoring this extraordinary couple as they mark this truly remarkable milestone! Any questions can be directed to Vickie Hendershot (daughter) at 740-525-2514 with a phone call or text.
